Horse Assisted Therapy for Veterans "As prey animals, horses are hypervigilant until they learn they are not in danger. ... Because of their own hypervigilance, veterans with PTSD easily understand and can relate to the trust and hypervigilance in a horse."  Read more about Horse Assisted Therapy.

COVID-19 and HARTH Foundation

We are in unprecedented times with the COVID-19 pandemic and we at HARTH want to do our best to keep everyone that comes to our facility safe.  HARTH closed it's doors for clients back in MARCH to do our part in helping to stop the spread.

HARTH has put a phased opening plan in place.  This plan may/will be modified as the pandemic landscape changes.

Current opening plan:

Week of June 29th, 2020 - Open doors for private sessions and Horsemanship class series

July 1st, 2020 - Horsemanship I 6-week series begins (This class is already full!)

Week of July 13th, 2020 - Begin our therapeutic riding program doing groundwork only

Week of August 3rd, 2020 - Begin mounted therapeutic riding for those clients that require minimal side walking help (NOTE:  we are offering to train parents/family members to be sidewalkers for their student so their family member can begin sooner!)

HARTH is in the process of training ALL volunteers/staff on our new process.  There are a lot of changes put in place!  We hope you will all work with us in making our facility safe for everyone!
