Sherry Atherton, Board President

Ms. Sherry Atherton was born in Ontario, Canada, has lived in the USA since 1992 and became a United States citizen in 2000.  She has lived in Texas since the mid 90’s and now considers Texas her home.  Sherry currently spends her days focused on HARTH Foundation and taking care of Sunset Cliff Farms equestrian center.  Read more...

 

 

Dr. Stephanie R. Smith, Ed.D., Vice President

Dr. Stephani Smith is the owner of PAST Counseling & Wellness (PAST), PLLC.  She is a state certified professional counselor supervisor and certified clinical trauma professional trained in trauma-focused cognitive behavior therapy.  She is a recognized member of the International Association of Trauma Professions (IATP) and International Center for Clinical Excellence (ICCE).  Read more...

 

 

Howard Morrison, Secretary

Mr. Howard Morrison is a Williamstown, Massachusetts native and has lived in Texas since 2004.  Howard has been employed by the Texas Education Agency for over seven years and currently serves as the Statewide Coordinator for the Curriculum Division.  Howard's efforts are primarily spent on education policy and managing over $70 million in federal and state grants and contracts awarded to institutes of Higher Education, Public Schools, and Regional Education Service Centers. William H. McCartney, Chair of Board of Directors

William H. McCartney is Chair of HARTH’s Board of Directors.  He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Highland Lakes Family Crisis Center and on the Advisory Committee for the Highland Lakes Area Young Life Organization.  He and his wife, Christine, who is a HARTH volunteer, are Master Naturalists and members of the Highland Lakes Master Naturalist Chapter.  He is a past member and Treasurer of the Board of Trustees of the McNay Art Museum in San Antonio and the Insurance Services Office, Inc. in New York City.   Read more...

Lori A. Greco, 1SG (Ret), Board Member

First Sergeant (Ret) Lori Greco served 27 years in the United States Army as a Veterinary Food Inspector, 68R. She graduated from Conroe High School in Conroe, TX in 1980, and attended Lamar University.  1SG Greco entered the Army as a PV2 and quickly made rank by winning Ft Lee, Virginia, Soldier of the Year and Distinguished Honor Graduate from the Primary Leadership Course (PLC) in 1985. During her tour at Ft Lewis, Washington, she was assigned to the 73rd Medical Detachment (VS) and then to the III Corps NCO Academy as a PLDC instructor for two years. 1SG Greco attended Drill Sergeant School and was awarded Honor Graduate and the highest APFT award.  Read more...

Coleman Washington, Board Member

Coleman Washington is a Service Disabled Veteran who served as a Navy tactical carrier and test pilot, Landing Signal Officer (LSO) maintenance officer, and Test Program Manager for over nine years.  His civilian career encompasses leading and participating in the conception, design, develop, delivery, and continuous improvement of integrated business driven / technology enables operational systems, business and technology consulting, and program management.  He has a passion of giving back which he does through leading, contributing, and participating in charities that support Active Military, Veterans, and their Families dealing with PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury, Post Concussion Syndrome, Moral Injury, Depression and other trauma;  and, life, faith, and career mentoring.  Coleman has completed HARTH’s Horsemanship I course and volunteers regularly in supporting HARTH.
