Therapeutic Riding/Equine Assisted Learning (EAL):  Whether it's a five-year-old with Down syndrome, a 45-year-old recovering from an injury, a senior citizen recovering from a stroke or a teenager struggling with depression, research shows that individuals of all ages who participate in equine assisted activities and therapies can experience physical and emotional rewards. For individuals with emotional challenges, the unique relationship formed with the horse can lead to increased confidence, patience and self-esteem.

Equine Assisted Pyschotherapy (EAP): EAP is an experiential process in which individuals of all ages paricipate in clinicallly structured equine activites to improve and enhance mental, emotional and social functioning.  This treatment is performed by a mental health professional who is appropriately licensed.

Veteran Programs:  These programs are all free of charge to veterans and active duty service members (and at low-cost to their immediate families) with the goal of helping to improve their quality of life. HARTH Foundation focuses on mental health and well-being, including readjustment issues.  At HARTH, though we do not incorporate riding activities in these programs, major therapeutic benefits through activities with horses such as grooming and interactions on the ground are widely accepted as beneficial for participants. These activities are important for bonding, working on trust and building relationships, among other benefits.

Private Group Sessions:  HARTH can tailor a session to fit the needs of your organization.  For fees and more information, please contact us.

Fundraising: HARTH Foundation is a Texas non-profit corporation and fundraising it essential to our operation and success. Donations impact our ability to provide services and programs to our veterans and active duty service members. In addition, we have goals for expansion of our programs and available staff. Donations also provide us with the ability to maintain our facility and horses and sustain our operations.
