Horse Assisted Therapy for Veterans "As prey animals, horses are hypervigilant until they learn they are not in danger. ... Because of their own hypervigilance, veterans with PTSD easily understand and can relate to the trust and hypervigilance in a horse."  Read more about Horse Assisted Therapy.

Waldmond, aka "Giggles" is a gigantic 18.2 hand Danish Warmblood that was foaled in 2003.  Before "changing careers", he competed across the US for many years and now enjoys just hanging out at the farm!  He is our tallest horse and his size can be intimidating!  But he is quick to make our even our most skeptical volunteers and clients feel at ease with his goofy, outgoing personaility.  Giggles is often making faces, sticking his tongue out and lifting his back leg for belly scratches. He loves being groomed and enjoys walks around the property.  Even with his large size, he is afraid of the smallest things. Whether its a plastic tarp, strange noise or a visiting sheep, he definitely lets you know when something isn’t quite right. Definately a horse with a big personality!
